We were lucky enough to get our hands on a very limited bottle of Redbreast 15 Year Old from the NSLC.

If you’ve been wanting to try one of Ireland’s most celebrated whiskeys, it’s worth a trip to The Brown Hound Ironstone for a dram while it lasts.

At the time we picked it up, it was the second-last bottle available in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Meet Joey! 🐶❤️

This sweet little 2-month-old rescue recently made the journey from the Caribbean to his new home in Nova Scotia. Just two weeks after arriving, he stopped by the Brown Hound Ironstone to say hello!

With those oversized ears and bouncy little legs, we thought he looked just like a baby kangaroo—so the name Joey seemed perfect. 🦘 Although, more than a few people insisted he was the spitting image of Scooby-Doo! 😄

Seriously… just look at those adorable ears! 🥹

Thanks for coming to visit us, Joey. We can’t wait to see you again soon! ❤️🐾

Sable is a beautiful 4-year-old Great Dane weighing in at an impressive 130 pounds. Once a rescue, she’s now living her best life—happy, healthy, and incredibly well-behaved.

She loves stopping by for visits, making new friends, and showing off a few tricks in exchange for treats. With her gentle personality and striking looks, Sable is always a guest favorite. ❤️🐶

It’s the beginning of our dog season, and we are so excited to see our four legged 🐕 friends back to visit us. Meet Maisie a beautiful 6 month old golden retriever lady and Murphy a golden doodle boy who doesn’t like my sunglasses but they both turned out to be all love.
