You cruise down to Gull Lake Rotary Park with smash burgers on your mind and poutine in your heart. You walk up to Burger Boys... and we’re CLOSED for the season.

Somewhere, a tiny violin begins to play. 🎻😭

🏒🍔 We’ve been keeping one pretty incredible secret...

On Tuesday, we had the absolute honour of catering for the New York Islanders during their two-day team bonding trip right here in Gravenhurst!

We were sworn to secrecy, and trust us, sitting on this news was not easy. We had the chance to watch the team on the ice before serving up a feast of freshly smoked pork loin, crispy chicken sandwiches, coleslaw, quinoa salad and all the sauces and fixings.

To have an NHL team gather here in town and invite Burger Boys to help feed them was genuinely special. It’s one of those experiences that makes us stop, smile and appreciate just how lucky we are to do what we do in a community we love.

A huge thank-you to the entire Islanders organization for the opportunity. We also appreciate Team Captain Bo Horvat and the players taking time to chat and join us for a photo before hitting the road for their season opener against the Maple Leafs.

From our little food stand at Gull Lake Rotary Park to feeding an NHL team... what a moment. We won’t forget this one anytime soon.

We announced our first-ever Burger Boys Burger Eating Contest yesterday. By this morning, only a few spots remained!

Here’s what our brave competitors are signing up for:

🍟 A side of fresh-cut fries

💰 Winner takes the entire cash prize
🎟️ Entry is $50 per person

Every challenger receives a Burger Boys baseball hat. The champion also walks away with a Burger Boys hoodie and T-shirt, plus some serious bragging rights.

We’ve wanted to do this all summer, and we’re finally squeezing it in before hibernation. Join us on our final day of the season for the first-ever Burger Boys Burger Eating Contest!

The challenge is simple: finish a towering 30 oz. cheeseburger and side of fries faster than everyone else.

❤️🍔 This past weekend, we fired up the grill for a different reason.

Burger Boys was closed so we could celebrate the incredible team and families who helped make this our best summer yet. We enjoyed a BBQ, played co****le, dressed up in costumes, gave away prizes and closed out the night around a roaring bonfire beneath the stars.

To every team member and family member who gave us their hard work, energy, dedication and support all summer long, thank you. Burger Boys would not be what it is without you, and we’re incredibly lucky to have you in our corner. Special thanks also to Eva, Corby, Kaylee and Daniela who were not present for the picture! We love all of you!

The season isn’t over yet! We still have a couple of weeks left, so make your plans and get your Burger Boys fix before we head into hibernation after Thanksgiving weekend.
