Hi folks! As is our tradition, the Café will be closed for Bear Creek Folk Fest this weekend, August 12th to 15th. We will be back August 19th.

August's cookie of the month is Coconut Macaroon! There is a bit of variety with this one, since we couldn't decide between dried pineapple or lime zest, and chocolate dipped or not, so you'll see some of all of the above! This is also our first gluten-free cookie. We'd love to hear which one you like the best! :-D

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that learning the rules is the worst part about new board games.

Therefore, one of the best things about a board game cafe is having an expert to teach them. These are all games that I have taught to different groups over the last month and I would love to teach you one as well! What game have you always wanted to learn and wish you had someone to teach you?

August Puzzle Battle!

This beautiful puzzle from July depicts the characters and events of Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. Everyone had a blast and this was probably our fastest puzzle since we started this event four years ago! Links for the August Battle below.

I don't brag nearly often enough about the quality of our menu and the staff that prepare it. We prepare so much stuff in-house, including our soups, dips, and baked goods. Our baker regularly comes up with crazy new creations for our enjoyment. Our baristas are nationally trained at the best coffee houses in Western Canada and we make sure they have high quality ingredients to make some of the best coffee in town. Card's isn't just about board games - it's a whole experience.

Check out this cool addition to the Café library - MicroMacro. This is like a Where's Waldo Whodunit, with sixteen cases to solve on a single crazy poster. Café visitors are loving it!
