It’s Friday. The work week is done, the sun is shining, and now you have a decision to make.

Cook dinner, do the dishes, and clean up the kitchen... or let us take care of you.

Usually on a Wednesday we focus on telling you about our specials, new cocktails, or what’s coming out of the oven.

But this week we thought we'd focus on telling you why we love what we do.

Woodfire has never just been about pizzas, cocktails or busy summer nights. It’s about people who genuinely love creating experiences for others.

It’s the cooks who stay focused through a packed service because they care about every plate leaving the kitchen.

It’s the front of house team remembering your favourite table, noticing when you need another glass of wine before you ask, or making sure your anniversary dinner feels special.

It’s the dish team working late so tomorrow runs smoothly again.

Every person here plays a part in something much bigger than food.

Looks like a beautiful evening to enjoy the patio at Woodfire tonight.

We’ll have some outdoor tables open, the cocktails will be flowing, and dogs are always welcome too. Whether you feel like settling in for dinner, stopping by for an early snack at 4pm, or just enjoying dessert and coffee in the sunshine, we’d love to see you.

Tonight’s specials are:

The long weekend is over, but somehow this week still feels completely out of sync.

The fridge is empty, nobody feels like cooking, but you gotta eat!

It’s a sunny Wednesday on Gabriola and whether you’ve spent the day running around town, working hard, or just feel like you’ve earned a midweek break, we’d love to see you for dinner tonight at Woodfire.

We’re especially excited because one of the most popular specials we’ve ever run has officially made its way onto the new summer menu.

Our pan seared sablefish is served over crispy arancini, with wood-fired vegetables, finished with a beautiful citrus blanc sauce and herb oil. It’s one of those dishes people kept asking us to bring back and now it’s here for summer.

Tonight’s pizza special is spicy beef, roasted red peppers, red onions, mozzarella, and gorgonzola, coming straight from the wood fire oven all evening.

And if you’re already thinking ahead to dessert, our chocolate hazelnut tiramisu and strawberry mousse cake are both quickly becoming big favourites on the new summer menu and the perfect excuse to stay a little longer.

Ease into the weekend properly and let us take care of dinner while you relax, catch up with friends, or simply avoid cooking for one night. Stay and dine in, grab a pizza to go, or settle in for cocktails, dessert, and a slow Friday evening.

Tonight’s features are looking pretty hard to resist:
• A beautiful grilled sirloin steak with crispy onions, served with creamy gorgonzola mash, red wine jus, and wood fired vegetables. Add prawns if you really want to treat yourself.

• Creamy citrus risotto with sautéed mushrooms, topped with sablefish and finished with herb oil and balsamic reduction.

• Roasted pork tenderloin with spring rhubarb chutney, roasted new potatoes, and wood fired vegetables.

And the dessert special is the Sun-baked lemon tart, with raspberry sorbetto, berry compote & whipped cream.

It’s also the start of the May'd on the Rock festival here on Gabriola, so for all the artists, creatives, musicians, and festival wanderers out there… maybe tonight is the night to let us do the cooking.

A little rain never stopped Gabriola from eating well. Besides… there always seems to be sunshine at The Fire Truck Grill.

We’re open tonight from 4 - 8pm at Page’s Inn at Silva Bay, and the forecast is calling for burgers, tacos, grilled seafood, cold drinks, hot donuts, and a good excuse not to cook dinner.

The lemon pepper chicken burger with pesto & parmesan is quickly becoming a strong favourite this season. Grilled chicken, loads of flavour, and the kind of burger people keep talking about after they leave.

Come grab your Fire Fries, seafood tacos, smash burgers, grilled prawns, fresh donuts, and hang out overlooking the marina and the Flat Top Islands while the clouds clear off.

Bring the kids, bring the dogs, bring the appetite. We’ll handle the rest.

Thursday before a long weekend always feels like the perfect excuse to sneak out for dinner… and tonight’s lineup at Woodfire is looking pretty tempting.

We’ve got maple soy glazed pork belly with crispy slaw, creamy citrus risotto topped with pan seared sablefish, a beautiful roasted pork tenderloin with spring rhubarb chutney, and a seafood grill loaded with ahi tuna, prawns & scallops finished with lemon herb butter.

Plus fresh strawberry salad with goat cheese & raspberry vinaigrette, roasted red pepper & tomato bisque, and desserts that deserve their own moment of silence. The Cointreau orange crème brûlée is particularly dangerous.

It’s a quiet start to the evening so far, which honestly means one thing: a very good night to grab a table, settle in with a cocktail, and let us cook for you.

The new summer menu has officially landed at Woodfire with fresh new dishes, returning favourites, and a fantastic new cocktail & mocktail lineup made for long Gabriola evenings.

Mother’s Day is nearly here and if you’re planning on spoiling Mum properly this weekend, we’ve got a few very good reasons to bring her to Woodfire on Gabriola.

Alongside our brand new menu, we’ll also be featuring some beautiful Mother’s Day specials, including a roasted pork tenderloin served with spring rhubarb chutney, creamy dauphinoise potatoes, and wood-fired vegetables.

We’ll also have a gorgeous fresh salad special with arugula, artisan greens, fresh strawberries, sweet pickled red onions, roasted pecans, & goat cheese, finished with a raspberry vinaigrette. Proper spring food and the perfect start to a lovely evening.

And for seafood lovers, we’ll be featuring a creamy citrus risotto topped with your choice of seared ahi tuna or sablefish, finished with balsamic reduction & herb oil.

Good food, cocktails, desserts, no cooking, no dishes, and a relaxed evening with the people you love most… sounds like a pretty solid way to celebrate Mum to us.
