This is gonna be the hardest post I’ve ever made and I want everyone to understand why I’m doing this. I will be open this week till mothers day May 14 th. I will be closed till Thursday May 25 th. My last days to be open will be Thursday May 25 to Sat May 27 th. Unfortunately I am closing the restaurant. Owning this place has been a whirlwind of ups and downs from the original start that was 3 months late because of a water break in building to buying the place then having my partner leave and me to deal with the aftermath. Then there was Covid and we all know how that went. Rick made the changes from bar to restaurant and what a beautiful job he did 🥰. Almost one year ago I lost him suddenly after getting back from my first trip out of Elliot Lake in 3 years. My world got turned upside down. I tried to get over it but my final closure was taken from me and if you have ever lost someone you know how important that is. I have tried to keep pulling myself together over and over again. I know it must seem strange as you come in to eat and it’s been so busy but now I just can’t keep up anymore. The final problem is my tiny kitchen. It’s almost impossible to keep up to the demand. So I either have to downsize menu to next to nothing or gut the kitchen and backend and that is out of reach. So building will be going up for sale soon. I do want to thank everyone for such positive feedback. It breaks my heart to do this but I’m mentally not able to cope anymore. I hope you all understand and I thank you for your patronage over the last few years.
