family work together to bring their turn of the century dining vision to life. The family takes pride in serving delicious food with memorable service in a romantic atmosphere. Dedicated to serving their clientele since 1982, the founders Ryszard and Helena Borówka work with their son Sylvester to oversee the entire operation. Sylvester adheres to his family’s legacy with decades of experience in the hospitality and service industry. He is an accomplished restauranteur and has developed many of the popular gluten free dishes and baked goods Continental sells. As a health-conscious gourmet, Sylvester chose to embrace gluten-free cooking both to promote healthier eating as well as to provide wonderful European dishes to clients who have celiac, gluten-intolerance or a gluten-free preference. The goal being to make food that is indistinguishable or superior to traditional gluten-containing products. Over the decades Continental Treat Fine Bistro has become the premier choice for anniversaries, birthdays, romantic dinners, wedding receptions and business dinners. Our Executive Chef, Elizabeth and her team are constantly working to innovate the menu, while keeping the distinctive, traditional flavour of our most popular European dishes. To enjoy with your meal, we have an extensive stock of sumptuous wines, fine European beers, rare spirits and even small batch, nearly impossible to find Trappist ales. The ambiance is warm European bistro charm with classical Jazz in the background. The menu reflects a central and eastern European influence with the tastes of Poland, Germany, Hungary and Austria all amazingly and deliciously Gluten-Free. You may enjoy such favourites as: Escargots a la Bourguignonne, Double Smoked Wild Salmon, Flaczki, Beef Tartar, Slowly Roasted Duck Leg, Hungarian Goulash, and of course our famous Dill Pickle Soup and the Best Schnitzel in Edmonton.
