We’ve got another staff spotlight for you—meet Gage! Just over three years at The Next Act and one of the folks we’re very lucky to have around. 🍻

How long have you worked at The Next Act?
Just over 3 years!!

What’s your go-to menu item?
I love the tofu sandwich!! Especially in naan when possible!!

What’s your favourite thing about the job?
Cliche, but my coworkers/friends. I think good service starts with us being a tight and reliable team, and then trickling down from there!

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love collecting insects, baking and playing the odd game of Dungeons & Dragons!!

Anything else you want to share with the world?
It’s such a privilege to come home from work feeling more invigorated by those around me than drained from the day, and for that I am forever grateful!

Our GM Sam said, “Gage is highly invested in our team’s experience and never tires in his pursuit of bringing us all together for fun shifts!”

We’re pretty lucky to have him. Come say hi next time you’re at the pub! 🍻

Another Staff Spotlight! This time, we’ve got Bailey — one of the lovely people who makes The Next Act what it is. 🍻

How long have you worked at The Next Act?
I’ve been at the pub for 5 years this September.

What’s your go-to menu item?
The Scout! The chimichurri sauce is delicious!

What’s your favourite thing about the job?
Next Act has the best people ever. It is seriously such a special hub for our community, and we have so many talented people on our team. Post-FRINGE, I’m feeling especially admiring of my coworkers’ hustle, perseverance and ability to remain so light and fun through it all.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love checking out other restaurants and cafes in the city, sewing, thrifting and swimming in the river as much as possible!

Our GM Sam says it best: “Bailey balances team care and customer care better than anyone and often inspires me to higher levels of both.”

Fringe season is upon us! 🎭

Our favourite time of year is back and we’re keeping the lights on late for it. The Fringe Theatre starts tomorrow through August 23, and we’ve got extended hours for all your pre-show, post-show and between-show needs.

Plus, Curtain Call Happy Hour is running late for the occasion. See you at the Fringe!
