Okay, friends, we need your feedback! ❤️

Have a little one who wants to shop for you or someone special for Christmas, but they’re not quite old enough to shop on their own? 🥹🎅

We’re thinking about hosting a Kids’ Christmas Shopping Day at Doupe Road Homestead Farmstand! 🎄

✨ We’d have a cozy fire going 🔥
☕ Hot cocoa to warm up with
🎁 Lots of cute little Christmas gifts for them to choose from
❤️ And we’d be there to help them shop!

Here’s how we picture it working: You park at the end of the driveway so you can’t peek 👀, send your little shopper up with their shopping list, ideas, and budget, and we’ll help them pick out something special just for you!

The kids get to feel the excitement of Christmas shopping all by themselves, and you get to be surprised by what they choose. 🥰🎁

Yesterday was also a learning day in the kitchen.....sourdough 101 was the lesson!

This was something Ive never attempted before but it looks like I aced the exam! Ive got some learning to do yet but im very impressed with how it turned out! 😁

Much of the day was spent in the kitchen....as per my usual on a weekend!

Pickled Rosemary Carrots was the project of the day!
These are one of my favorites and is why I dont mind spending days on making these....I seriously cannot get enough 🤤

They will be ready to eat in a couple of weeks and available at The Doupe Road Homestead Farmstand!

Spent sometime packaging up the last of the garlic scape sea salt last night so that I could restock the farmstand.

This and much more is available at The Doupe Road Homestead Farmstand 24/7!!!

Unfortunately this will be the last of what I have available of this incredibly delicious salt until next scape season.

Its finally all coming together!

Im pretty excited for this.......its been a long time since ive had a location to sell all my goodies at and its even more exciting that I get to be a part of something much bigger!

Im so thankful that The Doupe Road Homestead Farmstand has included me in their line up of amazing local artisans to help fill their farm stand and to help promote eachother and to grow with one another!

Please come out this Saturday Oct 10th from 11am-3pm to meet some of the amazing people putting this thing together and to check out all the amazing products that will be at the farmstand throughout the year and to also have your say in what you might like to see in the coming months and hopefully years ahead!

Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new ones as well! Much love! 💓

Finally got around to making some fresh hot sauce with my favorite hot pepper...the lemon drop pepper! 🌶🍍🔥

The lemon drop pepper is sort of a medium heat pepper....hotter than a jalapeño but milder than a habanero.....nice happy medium! 😙👌

Was pretty happy with my results at this years Cowichan Valley expo!

Placed 9 out of 17 of the catigories i entered this year:

🥇Blackberry jelly
🥇Strawberry jam
🥇Grapefruit marmalade
🥇Concord grape jelly
🥇Vanilla loaf

🥈 Sugar rush orange hot peppers

🥉Raspberry jam
🥉Tomato jam

And placed 🥉 in the chicken wing sauce competition that was sponsored by the Craig st. Brew Pub!

Lots of room for improvements but still very pleased with how well I did! 😊

Was quiet on here for a few days as i was busy getting things ready for the fair and working full time .....🙄.....but i got up early this morning to do the finishing touchs on all my entries!!!

Things are just about put together and ready for the judges....just gotta go out and select a few more hot peppers and then off to the fair grounds they go!

Market day is getting better!!! Super pumped to get my hands on these beautiful peppers today....especially the lemon drops!!!
