A Dirtbag gunman opened fire Saturday afternoon at a recently opened In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, sending a shopping center into chaos as people fled from stores and restaurants. At least three people were killed and seven injured, according to the authorities.
What happened?
The Twin Falls Police Department said it received a call for an active shooter inside the restaurant around 2:30 p.m. Dispatchers could hear screaming and gunfire on the other end of the call, according to the authorities.
Local, state and federal law enforcement agencies responded to calls of shots fired at In-N-Out Burger shortly after.
Officers arrived at what Chief Hicks said on Saturday was “the most chaotic scene that many of them will ever have in their careers.”
The gunman fired into traffic near the restaurant but two bystanders, a “private citizen” and an “off-duty police officer”, exchanged fire with the Dirtbag, according to the authorities. “The bystanders were not named by officials.”
