A little heads-up from The Thirsty Whippet

We’ll be closed this Saturday, 3rd October, while Lady Smith Manor plays host to a wedding.

The Whippet crew will be swapping pints for prosecco and helping make the big day run beautifully.

The good news? There are still plenty of chances to pop in for a pint this week:

Wednesday: 12pm–10pm
Thursday: 12pm–10pm
Friday 2nd: 12pm–10pm
Saturday 3rd: CLOSED for a wedding 💍
Sunday: 12pm–8pm

So come and see us before or after the celebrations — the b**r will be cold, the gin cupboard will be waiting, and normal Whippet mischief will resume on Sunday. 🍻🍸

After taking a week off, Wings Night is BACK tonight! 🍗🍺

Join us at The Thirsty Whippet for $1 wings from 5:30–9:30pm.

Grab a seat, order a pint, and settle in for a very respectable amount of wings. Or a completely unreasonable amount. We’re not judging. 😏

And yes… the big red bus will be keeping watch outside. ❤️

Well… the secret is officially out. 🇬🇧

After a week of phone calls, planning, measuring, head-scratching and working out how on earth to move a vintage double-decker bus… she finally arrived in Dorchester.

Watching her appear through the trees at the end of the driveway was quite a moment. ❤️

A huge thank you to Chris at Dynamic Towing for taking on the challenge and getting her here safely. We really appreciate all the work that went into making it happen.

She’s had quite the journey already — originally from London, then Southend-on-Sea, on to Niagara, and now finally Dorchester.

And this is only the beginning.

We’ll be sharing much more of her story over the next little while, along with some of the plans we have for her new life at The Thirsty Whippet. 👀

The pub will be closed from 6:30pm–8:30pm this Thursday, September 17th while we host the Greater Moncton Women’s Plate & Barrel Fundraiser. 🍷✨

That does mean one important thing…

🍗 NO WING NIGHT THIS WEEK 🍗

We know, we know… not the news our wing lovers wanted to hear. 😬

We’ll still be open:

🍻 12pm–6:30pm
🍻 8:30pm–10pm

So come and see us for lunch, an afternoon pint, or swing back once we reopen at 8:30pm.

We’re really pleased to be hosting such a brilliant local fundraiser — and Wing Night will be back next week, feathers flying as usual. 🐾🍗🍺

Something rather British is making its way to Dorchester tomorrow — and we have a feeling it’s going to fit in rather nicely at The Thirsty Whippet.

The pub will be closed on Saturday, September 5th while Lady Smith Manor and The Thirsty Whippet host a very special wedding - the Manor is getting romantic and the Whippet is on its best behaviour. 💍🐾

But don’t worry — we’ll be back pouring pints from 12pm on Sunday, September 6th.

And because apparently one day of behaving ourselves is enough… Trivia is back from 3pm–5pm 🧠🍺

Come down, grab a drink, assemble your cleverest friends and see who actually knows the useless facts they claim to know.
