Wow… summer 2026 has certainly flown by!!
Emily joined our full time crew at the end of June, and believe us when we say that there was NEVER a dull moment with this firecracker!! Emily spent the summer doing a little bit of everything, including taking and delivering orders, making and pouring coffee, scooping ice cream, doing dishes, cleaning bathrooms-which seemed to be one of her favourite activities. Would you believe us if we told you that she did all this hard work while dancing, singing and hugging whichever staff member was closest when the mood struck!
Mylee went to part time this year, and worked every weekend all summer, all while working Monday- Friday with a local company doing a youth apprenticeship in Refrigeration & Air conditioning. She immediately jumped right back into full on mode- greeting customers, taking and delivering orders, dishes, helping keep things stocked, scooping ice cream and catching up with locals and summer guests! You’d catch Mylee smiling, and saying have a great day as everyone left the cafe!!! She was also a singer, and had Alexa cranking the toons at every chance. She’s a hugger too…lots of love was spread this year!
Thank you to both of you Emily & Mylee, this summer couldn’t have been possible without the absolute dedication the two of you showed. Your game for anything attitude and forever smiles made this summer one for the books! We love you and will miss you both!! Good luck as you both enter grade 12!! Enjoy your last year of high school!
