We're celebrating 100 years of Route 66.

We've been blessed to travel many stretches of the "Mother Road", seeking to bring touches of those journeys and that vibe to Frank and Dora's.
From Chicago to Santa Monica, this century old iconic highway captures the essence of a beloved era, when big cars with shiny chrome, diners with jukeboxes playing rock n roll, and Bobby Socks and Brylcreem were all the rage.
Angel Delgadillo ( pictured here) has been named the "Guardian Angel" of Route 66. He was instrumental in his quest to protect the last remaining stretches of the grand highway, campaigning to have them protected and designated as historic. At 99 years young, he still walks across the historic road from his home to his little barber 💈 shop/gift shop in Seligman A.Z.,
to greet folks and sign autographs.♥️
The inspiration for the book you see here " Where The Whitewalls Rolled" was inspired by our many visits across remaining stretches of Route 66.
