Tea Grannys & Friends, Victorian Tea Experience was inspired by the owner's personal interest in collecting turn-of-the-century vintage clothing and jewelry at a young age. The Tea Salon was formed in 1999 as a w

ay of sharing her interest in the Victorian Era, primarily the 1890's. In the rush and hurry of our everyday life, it is necessary to find a place for quiet conversation and a moment to unwind. We have tried to capture that "Unique Tea Experience" with Tea Grannys & Friends. Our tea experience have visitors participate in an interactive demonstration of the proper tableware setting used in the Victorian afternoon tea, including tea etiquette. Gift cards are also available.

When you visit with us for your Victorian Afternoon Tea Experience at Tea Grannys & Friends, the aroma of freshly baked scones and goodies will greet you at the door! We're up quite early in the morning creating our fresh sandwiches and delicious desserts, setting a lovely table and preparing for your groups to enjoy a relaxing afternoon together!
We have over 70 loose leaf teas and tea blends for you to select from, served in your own pot to sip on at your leisure, so have a peruse through our tea booklet and try something new!

Try our wonderful Blueberry Tea at Tea Grannys! Take some home with you, and try it cold! It's so refreshing made as an iced tea with a pinch of sugar. It's very well liked in Europe as a healthy beverage due to it's outstanding antioxidant properties. Take a step back in time when you visit us for our authentic Victorian Afternoon Tea Experience in Newtonville, at Tea Grannys & Friends. Dress in your fine attire and arrive with your appetite to savour our 4 course luncheon, with your group of up to 14, by appointment only.
Choose from over 70 loose leaf teas and blends, enjoyed in our best China teapots and cups, while you start with a palette cleansing fruit sorbet. Dine on freshly baked scones with jam and butter, a selection of delicate tea sandwiches, seasonal fruits, and finish with our own freshly baked delectable goodies.
You'll learn about Victorian Tea traditions of the past, while seated in our dining room full of treasures from years gone by.

Did you know, we Celebrate Queen Victoria's Birthday this long weekend? Established back in 1845 as a national holiday, the weekend was established to be a long weekend signaling the unofficial start of the summer.
Queen Victoria is the "Mother of Confederation": Victoria was queen when Canada became a country in 1867 and selected Ottawa as the capital.
Tip a cup of tea to this long reigning sovereign as we enjoy a holiday Monday in her name!
