We consider the life and the treatment of our animals as important as the taste and the quality, and do our best to source out farmers that are like-minded. At The Town Butcher, we’ve done our research to provide you with a full line of meats that are raised locally, naturally, and without the use of anti-biotics. This means that our beef, pork, chicken, lamb and turkey are all raised within 50 kilometres or closer to our shop, and are all cut on location.

While the store-cooked items featured in our deli case are rotating and changing to incorporate new items, one thing that remains consistent is our commitment to fresh, high quality ingredients. Considerable thought is put into planning what is showcased at any given time. Using seasonal products we create a variety of foods that work well to complement or complete a full meal. For instance, at times we may carry BBQ-ready vegetables, mushroom caps and twice baked potatoes to grill with your steak dinner. Other times you may find Greek salad, baby roasted potatoes and tzatziki to pair with chicken souvlaki. Regardless of what is currently in the case, you can be assured that it is fresh and cooked on site, and that we have something to complement a host of dinner themes. All are items that are great on their own, but put them together and your dinner is ready before you’re even home from work.

~ HOSTING ESSENTIALS ~

Having a party? We may have what you need to create the final touches for the perfect party atmosphere. Or you’re the one heading out to the dinner, make sure to pop in and pick up a unique hostess gift for the couple who has everything. There are so many reasons to stop by and take a look at our dazzling dining accessories. Some gift baskets are assembled around the Christmas holiday season, though we are more than happy to work with you to create a custom basket any time of year. Gift certificates in any denomination are also available.

Thanksgiving Inventory: We got shorted on our bigger, fresh turkeys this year and we are only receiving a third of our order. We are currently sold out of turkeys and may not be able to get extra ones. I just wanted to give our customers notice ahead of time.

I am officially endorsing Trevor McDonald for city Council and Jason Lum for Mayor. Both are super strong candidates and have always put this city first. Wishing them all the best. I am excited to see who steps up to the plate to serve this city.

It Is Time to Pass the Torch starting January 2027

After more than 18 years, it is time for me to pass the torch.

It has been an incredible honour to serve this community for the past 18 years. I am incredibly grateful for every customer, every family, and every person who has supported The Town Butcher along the way.

I want to take a moment to thank some very important people who have been beside me throughout this journey.

First and foremost, my wife, Denise. Thank you for being my rock, my support, and for standing beside me through all the ups and downs that come with running a business for 18 years.

I also want to thank my amazing staff, both past and present, for everything they have contributed over the years.

Naomi, thank you for sticking by me through thick and thin for more than 10 years. Your loyalty and dedication have meant more to me than I can put into words.

And Taylor, thank you for more than 5 years of hard work, for managing the meat department, and for being such an incredible asset to the company.

The decision to close has been a very difficult one. I know there will be many questions, and I have explained the details in the video above.

My staff and I will be here, continuing to support this wonderful community through the end of December.

I also want to make sure that whoever takes the torch from here has the opportunity to succeed. I will personally help connect them with the farmers and suppliers we have worked with and do everything I can to make the transition as smooth as possible.

I wanted to tell you all about this decision well in advance because of the respect I have for this community. You have supported me through so many hurdles over the years, and I want to have the opportunity to continue serving you and to say my proper goodbyes over the next four months.

I will be off work today, but I will be in the store Saturday and Sunday if anyone would like to come by, reach out, or simply have a conversation.

Thank you all, once again, for 18 incredible years of love, support, friendship, and memories.

I appreciate each and every one of you more than you know.

Thank you for everything.

I hope to be able to connect with you all from now until the end of December while we continue to serve the community.

Interesting scam attempt today. This individual called and harassed my staff saying he bought a lasagna months ago and he had it and there was a hair. He was mad at my staff saying they had to deal with it right away and wouldn't wait two days for me to come back to work. So I called him and asked why he was so rude to my staff. If he can show proof of purchase, a picture... Anything that he had bought it, we can move forward. He just yelled and got mad, kept swearing at me and hung up. I waited for his review and then it came. Now it was steaks that I use food coloring with.... Lol. Interesting how horrible people like this can wreck people's days and their ratings while trying to scam them.

We have steak again! Sorry for all those that came in and we were completely sold out. Being one of the only butchers open on a super sunny long weekend wiped us out. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Fire up those grills!

Farmer Special is still going strong. We are now booking for September 18th.

Special is $10 off per kg. Each box is around 10kg(22lbs) and has about 40-50 breasts. These do not shrink much at all when you cook them. Each box is around $290 as is or an extra $15 if you want us to trim them up and vacuum seal them for you.

Taylor just cut up some amazingly beautiful marbled ribeyes! These are the P.E.I, prime rated (higher than AAA and blue dot rating) grilling ribeyes.

We just got in another double batch of our locally made bacon. Sugar free, German Beachwood for the unique smoke flavor and smell, and hand ground spices.
