10 years ago we started a small certified organic farm, called Heart Beet Organics to grow beautiful, nutrient-dense vegetables following the Canadian Organic Standards and Biodynamic practices. Then in 2014 we started making fermented foods and kombucha using the vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers grown on our farm and fell in love with the flavours and health benefits of fermented food. We op

ened the Farmacy+Fermentary in 2019 to give islanders and visitors the opportunity to purchase local, fresh, healthy, plant-based foods and ferments, in a beautiful, warm and welcoming downtown location -- open 5 days/week. All of our menu items are made with vegetables grown on our own or other local, organic farms -- harvested often within hours of being served on your plate. And if you want to know how your food was grown and/or prepared, just ask. Integrity. Truth in labeling. It’s what we rely on and what we offer to you. Real food, real ingredients, really local and organic! And just because we think everyone deserves to eat delicious foods, all of our dishes are vegetarian, can be made vegan, gluten free, and nut free as well. “Let food be thy medicine” is our philosophy and is the reason we also sell amazing artisanal chocolates and other local goodies in our marche -- because chocolate is also medicine! In March of 2020 we started offering a ‘local and organic Pop Up Market’ Wednesdays from 3-6 and Saturdays from 9-1. Your can pre-order on our website at: www.heartbeetorganics.ca or shop in person. Enjoy our baked French Toast, Huevos Rancheros, Farmer’s Breakfast, Breakfast Bowl, and NOW Eggs Benedict - with our house made dairy and egg-free hollandaise sauce. 🌱PRE-PAY FOR YOUR PLANTS BY MOTHER'S DAY AND SAVE!!!!

🍅Over 40 varieties of heirloom tomatoes (cherry, plum and large slicing)
🫑Sweet and Hot Peppers, 🍆Eggplant, Cucumbers, Zucchini, Winter Squash, Watermelon (as well as Cantaloupe and green Honeydew), 🌽Sweet Corn, Lettuce, Spinach, Kale, Rainbow Swiss Chard,
🌿HERBS: Basil (green and purple Italian, Lemon, Thai, Tulsi) + LOTS more herbs (culinary AND some medicinal), and LOTS of flowers 🌼 (annual and some perennial).

Plant sales are the first 3 Sundays in June, from 11-3 on the farm
