All our baked goods are made from scratch, using the freshest ingredients available sourced locally. Here is the step by step process of Latvian “pīrāgi” or “bacon buns”.

Start with making a sweet yeast dough, make it rise over few hours, kneed, rise again then roll the dough out, cut into circles and fill each piece with fried bacon and onions. Shape each one into crescent 🌙 and bake to perfection.

It takes time - but the results are so worth it 👌!

Thank you everyone for joining us at the Banff Christmas Market and buying some of our freshly baked treats. It was a large project with many people involved to produce such a high volume in a very short time. We are happy to say that over the course of 3 days more then 700 items were sold serving over 450 customers!

Ābolu/ Plūmju Plātsmaize or Apple Plum Flatbread is the new addition to our offerings. One of the clients asked if we by chance make “Plume Kuche” (Plum Cake in German) as German grandmother used to make which they miss very much - so we decided to add something similiar Latvian style 🇱🇻 ☺️📖🍞🧈!!!

Soft and pillowy dough, layered with juicy market plums and sour apples, poured over with blended ricotta cheese, sour cream, egg mixture and sprinkled with butter crumbs and cinnamon before baked to perfection.
