Hi folks - an unconventional but heartwarming story I'd like to share today.

A couple days ago, we were going through our daily service as usual. We happened to run low on some supplies so I dashed out to make a quick stop at the local supermarket and liquor store. It was only at checkout at the liquor store that I patted my pants and realized my wallet was nowhere to be found.

I looked all over the car and retraced my steps in the store, but no luck.

Right then, I got a call from the restaurant saying a couple was there asking to speak with me. I told them it wasn’t the best time and that it would be best if they could leave a message. But our staff was insistent - "These are some very important people and they'd prefer to see you in person. You should hurry back ASAP."

It turns out a lovely couple had found my wallet (they were also at the liquor store and had spotted where I had dropped it). They had an inkling it might be me from a very old photo I keep in my wallet (it is a photo of my wife holding our oldest right after he was born). I cannot express my gratitude enough to Rolf Joss.

Campbellford is a beautiful community filled with beautiful people. Warmth and kindness are the threads that bind us together and keep our town close.

Apologies for waxing poetic - but this has brightened my week and I wanted to share! Thanks all.
