Today we’re saying goodbye to an amazing friend. He was also a customer and one of our regulars for years.
Incredibly, I first met Morris in the line up to the washroom. While waiting he started talking to me and from the very first moment, I can only describe Morris as gripping and colourful and funny. His great sense of humour, I came to understand, was legendary. We laughed and shared many things together. We had great conversations about life and I could tell and ask Morris anything. There were no filters and he always had answers for me.
He consistently ordered “anything purple” along with extra hot coffee.
Morris cared passionately about the future of our generation and the world. He wanted the best for our community, our city and our country. Morris had deep concerns, yet he conveyed them with insight and humour.
Morris and his beautiful, sweet wife, Ann, were widely known for their philanthropy and generous giving.
I am so grateful for his wisdom, the gift of getting to know him and being part of his circle of friends. I will definitely miss our Monday and Thursday coffees.
Morris was one of the strongest, most caring people I have ever met, one whose willpower is unmatched!
Morris, I’ll miss you 💜💜💜
