The Establishment is a brewery & taproom with world-class & highly drinkable beers brewed in . The Establishment Brewing Company is a brewery and taproom located in Calgaryโ€™s Manchester Brewing District - an area perfect for brewery-hopping and was recently named Canadian Brewery of the Year for 2021 at the Canadian Brewing Awards and Alberta Brewery of the Year for 2021 at the Alberta Beer Awards. We are a band of friends and beer fanatics, united by one common goal: the proliferation of friendship through sharing stories and music over a beer. The taproom has a warm welcoming vibe with good tunes, house plants and beer snacks, surrounded by barrels that hold a variety of wild and sour beer creations that can take anywhere from three months to three years to mature. We brew flavourful and highly drinkable beers, from barrel-aged sours to hop-forward ales, European lagers, and everything in between.

Initialize the consciousness protocol. Load forward-thinking, dank-as IPA.

The hop combination of Nelson Sauvin, Nectaron, Mosaic Cryo and Columbus Cryo Dank Dive might look like a cyborg on the print out, but it executes like a bouncy ball of electric lettuce, powered by a cast of berries, citrus, and candied stone fruit. A call for celebration, or maybe just a regular Friday. Either way, boogie.exe is running smoothly.

It starts in the heart, and collaborating with people who are as passionate about their craft as we are, we felt the magic in the air immediately. John Segal is legendary for their horticultural experimentation, and thanks to our friends at Charles Faram & Co , we were buzzing to have the opportunity to brew with one of their newest varieties, 3Cone. Kinda like a cross pollination of three living legends - Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic - this crop boasts a soulful, positive sum, with an orchard of citrus and pineapple shining through our always ultra creamy base. Gotta give it up. Praise the power of three.

Shoutout to John, Martin, and the rest of the team at Segal Ranch for showing us the ultimate hospitality while we were in the Pacific Northwest for hop selection last week.

Black and white polka dots? Like a siren song it called to us to name a b**r after everyoneโ€™s favourite Quรฉbรฉcois weirdos. Helps that the music slaps, and it was a good excuse to brew this style for the first time in over 4 years. Rarely explored on this side of the Atlantic, the Pilsner Franรงaise shares DNA with its German counterpart, but the addition of corn lends it a rounder cereal sweetness in place of that bready character. And while the hops may hail from different countries, they stay firmly in the classic European category for a comparable floral, herbaceous effect. Cโ€™est pu**in de bien. Santรฉ!

Join us this Friday for a very special edition of Kรถlsch Haus - Dollyโ€™s Haus!

In partnership with the Calgary Public Library Foundation , weโ€™re celebrating Dolly Parton Day and joining a city wide initiative to honour her legacy supporting childrenโ€™s literacy, raising funds to help more children in Calgary access the gift of reading through the My First Bookshelf program.

Fifty cents from every stange sold will be donated to My First Bookshelf, which, operated in partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, mails a free book to participating children every month up to their fifth birthday, helping instill a lifelong love of reading from an early age.

Dolly made the program possible, but CPLF need your help to keep up with demand. There are 505 kids on the waitlist, and we invite Calgarians to come together to get these kids into My First Bookshelf!

If you canโ€™t make it but still want to support, head on over to libraryfoundation.ca/DollyDay to donate. A gift of just $6.90 can help reach even more children, and all gifts will be matched, thanks to the generous support of donors Lorraine and Peter Moore.

We strive to create a welcoming space where people can share some serious b**rs with not-so-serious people, and our taproom servers are a huge part of that. We are looking for crew members who are as stoked as we are about great customer service and great local craft b**r. The ideal candidate is hardworking, energetic, friendly, motivated, and a self-starter.ย 

Must be 18 years of age or older, have previous serving experience, be available to work evenings and weekends (including Sundays,) and have valid ProServe Certification.

Bread Water is made up of husband and wife team Blake Enemark and Alexa Gilker, brewing one single b**r style - a Czech-inspired l***r. They are going beyond the brewhouse to work with local farmers growing single-origin Alberta barley, and local maltsters who use traditional floor-malting methods. They call it Landbier L***r, and it's a terroir-driven b**r, meant to taste like the land it comes from. It's Alberta in a mug. It's Bread Water.ย 

Come hang and taste this unique landbier the way itโ€™s meant to be served - poured by the pros on a Lukr.
