We are proud to be supporting Miskanawah for the fourth consecutive year. Guided by Indigenous teachings, Miskanawah offers culturally based, supportive services to people in the Calgary area as they strengthen their circles of self, family, community, and culture.
With Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation falling on September 30, we couldn’t think of a better month to spotlight Miskanawah and the work they do with children, youth, and families across Calgary.
Every meatball special pizza sold this month puts $5 toward Miskanawah’s programs. We are grateful to have been operating on this land since opening our doors in 1979, situated on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi and the people of Treaty 7, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina, and the Iyarhe Nakoda Nations of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Good Stoney. We also acknowledge this territory is home to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government of the Métis Nation of Alberta Districts 5 & 6.
