For our very first post, we would like to recognize Johnny, franchisee owner of Edo Japan Foothills, in Calgary, AB, since 2008. To say that Johnny loves Edo is an understatement. Johnny likes to be hands-on at the restaurant and eats Edo every day, and as an owner he believes in trying everything on the menu so that he knows what he’s selling his customers. With his passion for making guests happy and taking care of his staff, it’s no surprise that he won Franchisee of the Year, and the Edo Hero award.

Johnny first became familiar with Edo through his sons and sister-in-law while they were working at the Chinook Centre location. The family loved the business so much that in 2007 Johnny decided to apply to become an Edo Japan franchisee. After being approved, Johnny waited for a location in Calgary to become available and seized the opportunity to purchase the Foothills location thirteen years ago. He is extremely proud of his family and his staff for the success they have achieved at Edo Foothills, and we’re likewise proud to have them in the Edo family of restaurants!

You can find Johnny at Edo Japan Foothills on most days, so be sure to drop by and say hi! We know he looks forwarding to serving you.
