I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. This week I’ve seen many businesses that I follow make announcements that their doors are closing.
Running a business either large or small is HARD. The economy changes, costs keep going up people have less extra money, and what worked yesterday doesn’t always work today.
There are early mornings and late nights and a whole lot of praying that the numbers are going to work out.
And yet, these businesses are constantly asked to donate, sponsor events, give gift cards and support our communities.
We WANT to help. We love our communities.
But sometimes I think we forget that the very businesses we’re asking to support everyone else also need support.
And it doesn’t always mean spending money.

I know our reach has been throttled like crazy lately, and when you share one of our posts, it genuinely helps us get seen.
I’m not asking everyone to buy something. I know times are tough.
I’m just saying — if there’s a small business you love and you want to see them stick around, show them.
And when a small business disappears, it’s not just a business that disappears. It’s another empty building. Another piece of the community gone.
Let’s support those businesses we’re always saying we love.💚 Just a little food for thought 😂
