When we opened Athenian Bakery, we wanted to bring something very specific to Calgary — the real taste of traditional Greek bakery pies.

Not just another pastry.
Not just another “Greek-style” pie.

We wanted authentic Greek pies from Greece, carefully selected for their quality, traditional character and authentic flavours, shipped to us in temperature-controlled conditions and baked fresh here at Athenian Bakery.

That’s what makes the experience different.

From the crispy, golden phyllo of our Spanakopita, filled with spinach and feta, to our different styles of Bougatsa, every pie has its own story and its own taste. 🇬🇷

Our pies arrive from Greece in temperature-controlled shipments, and we bake them here so you can enjoy them warm, crispy and golden.

You can order ahead, or give us a little time to bake your pie fresh. Depending on the pie, it may take around 15–20 minutes — but we think it’s worth the wait. ❤️

Because a real Greek pie isn’t meant to be rushed.

🇬🇷☕️ **WHY OUR ATHENIAN FREDDO TASTES DIFFERENT**

When we decided to bring the Greek coffee experience to Calgary, we knew that the coffee had to be right.

Because a real Greek Freddo is not simply coffee poured over ice.

**The coffee makes the difference.**

For our Freddo Espresso and Freddo Cappuccino, we carefully selected a **high-quality coffee imported from Greece**, with the rich body and intensity we look for in a proper Greek espresso.

It’s the coffee we chose because it works beautifully over ice — bold, smooth and full of flavour.

We prepare every Freddo the Greek way — espresso shaken over ice, and for the Cappuccino, finished with that smooth, velvety cold foam that Greeks know and love.

And of course, a Greek coffee is even better with something from the bakery…
