Sunset Gourmet with Cindy Ference

Here is another recipe from my camping kitchen!

Campfire Pizza
1 loaf French Bread Cubed
¾ bottle of Sunset Gourmet’s Smokey Sweet Grilling Sauce
Sliced Peppers
Sliced Sausage
Sliced Onion
Shredded Cheddar/Mozza Cheese

In a bag, put the cubed French Bread and Sauce. Mix until bread is covered in sauce.
Pour into a greased 9 x 12 pan. Add peppers, onion, sausage over bread. Spread cheese over top.
Bake for 15 to 20 min over fire or on BBQ.

Enjoy!

Thank you to Lindsay Kirkham, one of our Consultant's in British Columbia, for sharing your recipe for One-Pot Creamy Bacon & Tomato Pasta using our NEW BACONY TOMATO DIP MIX.
This is Lindsay's recipe...
“Here is what I did...
Fried up 1/2 lb. bacon to crispy. Removed to paper towel lined bowl and set aside. Crumble once cooled.
In the pan WITH the bacon grease, I added 1 tablespoon each Oh! So Garlic, Oh! So Onion and Oh! So Celery. Stirred for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant
Added 1/2 can (796 ml) diced tomatoes. (Sundried tomatoes or crushed tomatoes would probably also work well, I just used what was in the pantry).
Stirred all together about 3 minutes.
Add 3 to 4 cups chicken broth and bring to a boil.
Add 2 1/2 cups dry pasta and stir together. Cover and simmer for approx. 10 minutes.
Stir in crumbled bacon. Add 1 package of Bacony Tomato Dip Mix and stir to combine.
Add 1/2 brick cream cheese, cubed, 1 cup shredded cheese and stir.
Cover and simmer another 10-ish minutes and stir good to combine the cheese.”

Chicken or Pork can easily be substituted in this recipe!

Crab Wontons
• 1 pkg. wonton wrappers
• 1 brick (250 g) cream cheese, softened
• 1 ½ Tbsp. Oh! So Celery
• 1 Tbsp. Oh! So Garlic
• 1 can crab meat, well drained
• 2 Tsp. Peachy Onion Hot Sauce (optional)
• 1 beaten egg and 2 tsp. water (for egg wash)
• Thai Sweet Chili Sauce & Marinade, for dipping
Combine cream cheese with seasonings and crab. Add a dash of Peachy Onion Hot Sauce if you prefer a bit of heat. For oven method, preheat oven to 350°F.
Lay wontons on a flat surface. Place 2 teaspoons of filling in the centre of the wonton (cover remaining wrappers with a damp towel until ready to use). Brush the edges of the wonton with egg wash, fold over and form a triangle making sure the edges are sealed. Repeat with remaining wontons. Transfer to an ungreased baking sheet and bake 15-18 minutes until golden. You can spritz the crab wontons with a bit of oil for a deeper golden colour if so desired. Serve with Thai Sweet Chili Sauce for dipping.
The wontons can also be fried in oil or cooked in an air fryer.
Unbaked crab wontons can be placed on a cookie sheet in a single layer and placed in the freezer. Once they are frozen they can be stored in a sealable bag.

Our Fresh Harvest Garlic Olive Oil makes these shrimp simply irresistible!
SAUTÉED SHRIMP IN A GARLICY BUTTER SAUCE
• 35-40 medium to large shrimp
• 1 Tbsp. Fresh Harvest Garlic Olive Oil
• 2 Tbsp. butter
• 1 tsp. Oh! So Garlic
• Himalayan Pink Salt
• 5 Peppercorn Premium Blend
Heat oil and butter in a large skillet along with Oh! So Garlic for 1 minute. Add shrimp and sauté for 3-4 minutes, flipping several times. Season with salt and pepper and serve along side pasta, rice, steak or other favourites.

Gluten-Free Pumpkin Spice Muffins are perfect for an afternoon treat! Pour your favourite hot beverage, find a great book and enjoy some down time! The addition of Meyer Lemon Infused Olive Oil makes these muffins super moist and delicious.
Pumpkin Spice Muffins
• 1 pkg. Pumpkin Spice Quick Bread Mix
• 1 cup pure pumpkin
• ¼ cup light vegetable oil
• ¼ cup Meyer Lemon Infused Olive Oil
• 3 eggs
Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease 12 standard muffin cups or use paper liners in the muffin tin. In a large mixing bowl blend together pumpkin, oils and eggs. Add bread mix and stir until well blended, about 1 minute. Spoon batter into muffin cups, about ¾ full and bake for 21-27 minutes. Ice with cream cheese icing when cooled, if so desired.

Creamy Garlic Chicken & Spinach dip...
Creamy Garlic Hot dip - 1 package
1 brick cream cheese
1/2 Cup each mayo & sour cream
1-2 cups shredded cheese
2 cups chopped Spinach - stemmed
2 cups cooked chicken ( I cooked breast with garlic oil, cheesy bacon & everything seasoning- you could uses shredded)
Softened the cream cheese in the microwave then add everything else & mix well. Put in oven safe bowl & broil for about 10-15mins until its hot..you could bake for half time then broiler for the rest.
Served with nachos!
