Update: Public Health has notified us of the following (quoting the letter we received)

‘’As discussed, there is only 1 active case at Stratengers Casual Dining (212 Queen Street South) as I have ruled out the second case, due to the fact that they did not work while infectious. The time that a case is infectious is determined by going back 48 hours from Symptom onset date. With only 1 active case, the workplace does not require a follow up investigation.’’

We have been advised by public health we can open as early as today.

Due to the false narrative and overwhelming negative messages we’ve received, we are taking a few days to ourselves.

And thank you so much to the ones who have sent us well wishes and support. We wish that both individuals have speedy recovery!

Update: We'd like to inform our customers and followers that we had our first positive case reported to us on Sunday night and the 2nd case reported Today. This is when we were informed by our employees. Both employees have not been in the restaurant since March 20th. Employees and customers who were in attendance on that day have been notified.

We have been closed to public since Monday and will remain closed until further notice. Though public health has notified us we do not have to remain closed and can still operate with some restrictions.

Public Health was notified this morning as per their guidelines (once 2 or more individuals have tested positive). We will be working with public health to further investigate the situation.

Currently the restaurant is being thoroughly sanitized. We are taking all the precautions necessary as we have been for the past 1 year.

We understand that these are difficult times for everyone. We just hope that the people of Bolton can understand everyone needs to take a moment to digest information before reacting. We have the best interest of our patrons, staff & family members.

To those who have sent us messages with their support, we thank-you for your kind words. Thank-you to all of you.

We will provide more updates once we have been provided with next steps from public health.
