What to say about this little place that I have poured all my time and love into?

Doesn’t feel right to simply say, I am closing. How do I thank everyone for believing in me and supporting my small business? I don’t know what to say or how to say it.
It’s been a ride, and I’m so glad I took it.

The winds of change are blowing, and it was time to have the difficult conversations, and do what’s best for myself and my family.

I have chosen not to reopen the cafe this spring. I will be putting the building up for sale.

It’s a happy place, built with love and all the best intentions. Maybe someone will keep our momentum and buy it and run it as a cafe. Maybe it will become something else. I’ve made my peace with that, and am grateful for what it was when it was mine.

Thanks to all the staff who made it possible to run this busy place, and for all our loyal customers. Truly. Thank you.

❄️ Closed for the Winter Season ❄️

☀️ We will reopen in Early Spring 2022 ☀️

Well, we made it through another year. It hasn’t been easy, and I’ve had to put a lot of time and resources into coming up with creative ways to keep our doors open and our staff paid. A year ago, I wasn’t sure my business would survive. I felt like giving up.

Thankfully, y’all didn’t give up on me. You kept coming, even when we had to switch to takeout only, and pivot with all the restrictions.

I’m grateful for this chance you’ve given me to serve our community. It’s been an honour.
But most of all, I’m grateful for our staff who make the cafe a warm welcoming place for everyone. They are the most incredible group of ladies, and I can’t believe how lucky I am to work alongside them.

Many people dream of bigger things. But I have always dreamed of this one thing. A little shop, good coffee, and humble food made with love. Thanks for showing up in these strange times, and believing in me. It means the world.
