🔧 A LITTLE PIT STOP FOR THE MONKEY 🐒

The last few weeks have been incredibly busy, and first off — THANK YOU. ❤️

You guys have been keeping our kitchen, our equipment, and especially our crew running at full speed. After a very busy stretch, we’ve decided it’s time to give everything — and everyone — a few days to catch their breath.

So, The Flying Monkey will be CLOSED Tuesday through Friday this week.

We’re using the downtime to get some parts ordered and replaced, tackle some equipment maintenance, give the restaurant a little extra attention, and let our hardworking crew enjoy some well-earned downtime.

Nothing dramatic — just taking care of the place and the people who make it all happen so we can keep doing what we do.

🐒 WE’LL BE BACK SATURDAY with our regular hours, rested, repaired, stocked up and ready to feed you!

Thank you for keeping this little restaurant so damn busy. We truly appreciate the support from the community and everyone who makes the drive or flight out to see us.

🦀🦞 WE’VE BEEN CRAVING… SO YOU’RE ALL GETTING FED. 🍉🍹

Sometimes our features come from careful planning.

And sometimes we spend two days making Crab Rangoons because we couldn’t stop thinking about Crab Rangoons. 😂

So this evening at the Flying Monkey, on top of our regular Friday specials, we’ve got a few extras hitting the menu:

🥟 CRAB RANGOONS
Crispy, creamy, crabby little pockets of happiness — every single one made by hand. And yes… after two days of folding these things, we’re committed now. 😂

🦞 LOBSTER ROLLS
Loaded with lobster and served the way a lobster roll should be. Simple, buttery, and ridiculously good.

🍉 WATERMELON MARGARITAS
Cold, refreshing and exactly what you want alongside all of the above.

And of course, it’s FRIDAY, so our regular Friday favourites are still happening too — including our AAA Alberta Beef Dip and Music Bingo tonight at 8PM! 🎶🙉

The Flying Monkey Kitchen & Bar is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team!

This is primarily a DAYTIME position — perfect for someone who loves working in a busy kitchen but would rather have their evenings back.

What we’re looking for:
🍳 Solid line-cooking experience
🔪 Good prep and knife skills
🔥 Comfortable working a busy service
🧹 Clean, organized and dependable
🤝 Someone who communicates well and works as part of a team
💪 Able to keep their cool when the board fills up

We cook a LOT from scratch and our menu goes well beyond typical pub food, so this is a great position for someone who actually enjoys cooking and wants to be part of a kitchen they can take some pride in.

💰 Competitive wage based on experience
☀️ Primarily daytime shifts
