First off before we say anything else we want to acknowledge that today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This is a day for everyone to acknowledge the harsh trials and tribulations that the colonial system has forced upon the indigenous people globally and specifically in Canada. It’s a time for us to recognize this sad truth of Canadian history, specifically on the abuse of the First Nation’s, Inuit/Dene, and Métis people, connected to the residential school system. As well as to focus on ways to ensure that the country keeps on recognizing the problems of the past and present to improve the future.
Now for some information on what is to come this week including, the changing of a month, the changing of our hours and the changing of our flavours for the week. This week is the start of our hours changing to closing at 8:00 pm through the week instead of 9:00 pm. But do not fret, the flavours this week will make you want to come in super fast! These flavours includes loads of pears like Pear and Haskap Swirl, and Pear Toffee. Then we get a little pumpkin fun time with Goat Cheese & Pumpkin Custard and Pumpkin Crème Brûlée Oat Swirl. Which goes along with Haskap Basil Crumble, Raspberry Pineapple Swirl, Chocolate Crispy Date Clusters and Sea Salt & Snickers.
All that to say, the flavours are great this week, so come on in to give them a taste.
For this weeks events we have a whole lot of notta, just hanging out with good times.
Otherwise, we are just keeping er steady this week, so come on in and say hello for a coffee, hot chocolate, scoop, panini or b**r! Or come in early on Sunday to listen to and spin some vinyl!
