SWISS BEAR Cafe Bistro - Swiss Certified Chef, family owned & operated - schnitzel, tarts, frozen meals - indoor dining & take-out fall to spring, food truck summer service, outside regular hours 7 days - ring bell for frozen meals & desserts The SWISS BEAR, family-run food business since 2009

Led by Robert, a professional Chef trained and certified in Switzerland; our boys prep, cook, bake and serve; and Lori works to orchestrate enjoyable SWISS BEAR visits. Take-out service spring to fall is provided from our Schnitzel Express food truck, and through our main building in the winter. Without dine-in and full facilities since covid, we continue to work through unstable supply availability and rising costs, staff shortages, etc. Daily, we get as prepared for service in advance as can be, offering as much menu variety as possible; with as much staff, equipment, space and ingredients available. Within minutes, our parking lot can fill up, creating line ups, and the volume of orders increases very rapidly. Our mission with every order is to prepare and serve quality food, as quickly as possible. Whether you live or cottage nearby, or are travelling through this beautiful area, it is truly a privilege for our family and team to be part of your adventures!

Swiss Bear house specialty schnitzel is where it’s at!!

Rosemary inspects 😁 and assists as Joe prepares some SCHNITZEL à la Poutine for lunch - yum!! We are serving up some Schnitzel SANDWICHES on grilled brioche buns 😃!! Enjoy as is, or with fresh cut FRIES cooked in beef tallow, or POUTINE made with house made beef gravy and Empire Cheese shredded cheddar and curds, or potato cheese PIEROGI sautéed with onions in garlic butter!! 😋😋 Schnitzel MEALS are also served with the same tasty sides!!

We are now serving from the dining room 🙂

Fall is arriving at the Swiss Bear!! 🍂⛅️

Great weather 🌞 and lots of smiles and tasty eats 😋!!

Lucy the sweetie chihuahua 🐕‍🦺 stopped by again this year with her family to enjoy some tasty schnitzel on the patio!

Fuzzy sweaters and sweatshirts 🥰 motorcycle rides, grasshoppers catching some rays 😎

Our sweetie Swiss big girl (Bernese St Bernard) Maple out for one of her last strolls in the garden with Louis her best bud 🐾❤️. We lost her last Friday, she was 15.5 years old, and a most wonderful companion and family member 💕

The plan is to serve from the food truck early this week and then moving inside by the weekend 🙂 we’ll keep you posted!!

Sunny days 🌞 on the garden patio 🌸, great people stopping by for a bite and a visit 😊, motorcycle tours 🏍️ with friends in this top notch riding area, monarchs and bees 🐝 hanging out in the Joe Pye W**d 🌸; what a beautiful life, so blessed praise God!!

We are food trucking for another week or so, plan for indoor dining before Thanksgiving 😃 will post updates.

Shout out to our super duper summer ☀️ crew 💪 who served many a’ schnitzel and tart to all of our amazing Swiss Bear customers 👍🤩👏

😎 Grillin’ Joe Cool, sweetie snappy Lucy, happy helpful Rosemary; and special guest servers Kelsey and Rachel, who super ably jumped in end of season to help out! You are all such huge blessings!

Service continues outside for a couple more weeks while Robert continues on schnitzeling (will post updates when service moves inside; as well as stock replenishing of pecan and raisin pies, and frozen meals). Joe and Lori are at your service, with Lucy and Rosemary (back to school) here on weekends 😃

Summer ☀️ service from the food truck with garden patio continues on in this beautiful weather! Thank you to all who stopped by this weekend!! 🤩

Olivier and Joe had an amazing invitation to go climb mountains 🏔️ in Colorado! Olivier’s wife Kelsey (married June 13!! 😊❤️) came up to work the weekend with us and was a super great help! Lucy grooved on grill 😎 and Rosemary jazzed up🎷 meals! Robert continued with mega prep and stepped in to help at the truck when super busy 😃!

Lots of smiles 😄 and cutie 🐾 furry family members 🐕!! And bees (can you spot one in one of the flowery pics) and butterflies…

Meals in a box… Polish Schnitzel with sauerkraut or a Jazzy Salad with coleslaw and sauerkraut and stewed apples on the side 😋!

You guys are awesome 👏 😎!! We are so thankful for the busy summer 🌺 season!!

Kids… You guys rock! You know who you are 🤩 you are unfiltered and honest, your thumbs up and big smiles; enjoying fries and poutine and ice cream, but also schnitzel and pierogi; I love it 🥰!! So glad you enjoy and so thankful to be part of your summer adventures!!
