It was build in the year 1994 by the parents of present Chabje Jekhenpho Rinpoche.The goenpa at present is taken care by Lama Sonam Thinley with 7 monks living under him. It is the only goenpa that serves the whole Kupinyesa and Budur village with 60 households. It is also a place where our present Chabje Jekhen Rinpoche’s parents lived there for several years conducting prayers for the sentient b
eings. At present the Goenpa receives senior citizens from the locality to pray but due to no space for them to live/shelter, the goenpa’s lama faces lots of challenges interm’s of shelter .There are roughly 6 senior citizens with the age range between 60-80 years old from which 2 senior citizens doesn't have anyone whereby they survive by visiting the nearby households for accommodation and fooding. Lama Sonam hopes to build a shelter which can consist of 3 rooms, 1 common kitchen, 1 toilet each for male and female and a bathroom which will cost around roughly Nu. 400,000 so that it can accommodate these senior citizens and also it can be used as and when the localities conducts long days rituals. During the illness and deaths of these senior citizens, lama will be taking care of these senior citizens.
