The Nassau Yacht Club Founded in 1931, The Nassau Yacht Club is located just east of downtown Nassau, on East Bay Street

Private Members Club

As stated in our Constitution, the objects of the Nassau Yacht Club are:

a) To encourage yacht building and yacht sailing by amateurs. b) To encourage yacht racing by the promotion of regattas and the giving of prizes, and by any other means which may from time to time be determined upon by the club. c) To provide and maintain docks, a club house and suitable environment for the use of the Members of the Club.

Good luck Team Bahamas 🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸

Eight former BNSS sailors (Bahamas National Sailing School - BNSS) will represent The Bahamas at the Team Racing World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden.

The event will consist of a qualifying series and final races, sailed in J/80 keelboats. Racing days will run from 13th - 16th August with a practice day on 12th August.

The team racing format is 2x2, meaning each team will sail two boats, with a maximum of 8 team members, of whom at least 2 must be of each gender.

Team Bahamas competitors (L-R) are Spencer Cartwright, Paul de Souza, Jaqueline Frode, Morgan Grammatico, Helena Wassitsch, Jaxon Parker, Blake Roberts and Matteo Alliata (not pictured).

Spencer Cartwright is the Team Captain and said ‘we all grew up sailing and competing in youth classes before moving on to compete at the university level. Many of us have represented The Bahamas on the world stage, and we are incredibly proud to come together once again to represent our nation.’

Other nations competing are Australia, Bermuda, Denmark, Finland, Great Britain, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Sweden and USA.
