This year brought a lot more rain than usual making the drying process and table space at our stations a real challenge.

But every harvest has its hurdles, and with each one, we adapt, problem-solve, and push through.

We’ve finally entered the dry season and let us tell you — nothing feels better than seeing consistent sun again. Perfect weather to dry and bag off our coffees properly.

THIS IS BURUNDI COFFEE.

This past season has been, without a doubt, the most difficult and unprecedented we’ve ever faced. From new export regulations, delayed shipments, and logistical hurdles, to the sheer emotional and physical toll
of pushing through — it’s tested us in every possible way.

And yet, here we are — not without scars, but stronger in spirit.

We’re deeply grateful to our partners who stood by us with patience, trust, and understanding. Your support means more than words can say.

As we close this chapter, we carry forward hard-earned lessons, deepened relationships, and a renewed commitment to doing things better. The road
ahead still has challenges, but also so much hope.

To everyone who’s walked this journey with us — thank you. Let’s keep building, learning, and growing together.

We decided to ugrade and build double layered African drying beds across our Karambo & Kayave stations.

These improvements have helped us greatly in controlling the growing volumes of cherries we are receiving from our farmers each year. Especially during a big crop like this year we can ensure that not only can we manage the bigger volumes received at our stations but more so ensure that the best drying practices are done to continue to produce the best quality we can for our partners across the world.

Fully washed coffees being dried on our African drying beds. This year we have increased our volume of fully washed processed coffees due to the growing demand for them.

We are currently starting to QC the new harvest lots from both Karambo and our new station Kayave. Next month we will have the fresh crop samples ready to send to our existing and new partners across the globe !

Our anaerobic processed coffees are coming along very well at our Karambo station. This year we have carried out more new experiments to analyse what cup profiles we get from them as we continue to learn and fine tune our processes to achieve the best quality we can for our partners around the world.

Thank you very much to for hosting us at the coffee processing course held over the past 2 weeks in Nairobi, Kenya.

It was great to meet so many like-minded coffee professionals from across the world and learn more about specialty coffee processing.

We look forward to taking our learnings and applying it through our companies existing coffee processing procedures as we strive to continue to improve our coffee quality every year.
