Dans le Noir ? (French for “In the Dark ?”) is an international company offering patrons a unique experience by eating in complete darkness, guided and served by low vision or blind people. DINING IN THE DARK: A UNIQUE SENSORY, S

OCIAL AND HUMAN EXPERIENCE

A SENSORY JOURNEY: As sight is the sense we rely on the most, dining in absolute darkness is a sensory experience that awakens senses and enables guests to completely re-evaluate their perception of taste and smell. A PLACE TO SOCIALISE: In the dark there is no preconception brought about by vision. Therefore, communication is more intense, authentic and spontaneous. A UNIQUE HUMAN EXPERIENCE: Blind waiters become the diners’ personal guides during the experience. In this role reversal, the unsighted host becomes the guests’ eyes! Open to public on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, the restaurant will also welcome corporate, private and special events (business functions, team building, corporate events, blind tasting, music or cultural events in the dark, Christmas parties…) upon request every day of the week. Patrons will taste a refined cuisine adapted to total darkness through surprise menus freshly created by the Head Chef of Stanhope Hotel, trained by the experts of blind tasting Dans le Noir ? Wine pairing will enrich this unique sensory experience!
