Thank you all for such a wonderful evening. Borger was in movement. A warm energy passed through on Friday, still very much heartfelt after the weekend. A candle was lit for our colleagues everywhere, for the arts and the artists. And the nocturne was successfully turnt into the night, even the morning.

Our next nocturnal gathering has already been decided: Friday, January 29, 2027.

Winter is coming. But it will prove no match for our warmth.

The first Borger Nocturne of the season happens tonight.

Tonight, 21 art spaces, galleries and institutions all open their doors for a communal evening stroll, a nightly gathering full of artistic wonder.

Inviting you the visit their exhibitions, performances, happenings, screenings and book presentations, all located within the closeness of Zurenborg and Borgerhout.

We can’t wait to receive you.

A candle marks the spot.

Not just the guiding light during Borger, but a symbolic candle lit for the arts, as our institutions are facing massive budget cuts, which will undoubtedly effect the art world in its entirety.

Borger is a collaborative event where art spaces from in and around Zurenborg and Borgerhout welcome you inside to show you first hand the importance of a vibrant artistic network. Each will have a candle burning in front of their door. Lets show our support by showing up 🕯️

Édition Populaire’s windows are always open, last chance to see Bram De Jonghe at DMW Gallery, actions by Vaast Colson at galerie S&S, Werner Bosschaerts at L’ART54, fabric sculptures by Jean Marc Piron at Melis & Piron, and Beamstreet is open for a studio visit.

The first Borger Nocturne of the season happens this Friday, with a program full of happenings, screenings, book launches and more. And who knows what else the night may bring…
