Then we load it Bajan-style: saltfish gravy with garlicky butter, BBQ pigtail, lamb stew, or beef & bacon, stacked with house salsas and sauces. This isn’t fusion. Yelluh Meat was recommended to us by locals in Barbados, and I’m so glad we listened. 🙌🏽

The highlight for me? That slow-roasted garlic butter breadfruit with minced beef, thick-cut bacon, pepper jack cheese, pineapple salsa and sweet chilli mayo. 🤤

I love seeing local Caribbean ingredients like breadfruit being used in exciting, unexpected ways while still letting the ingredient shine.

And that’s the beauty of travelling for food — sometimes the best places aren’t the ones you find online. They’re the ones somebody who lives there tells you about.

Yelluh Meat is looking for an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Lead who can lead people, control prep and service, maintain standards and take responsibility for BOH results.

Salary: Based on demonstrated leadership experience and capability.

We’re looking for someone with:

• 2+ years of formal kitchen leadership experience
• Experience supervising a BOH team
• Strong prep, opening and closing discipline
• Working knowledge of inventory, portion control and food safety
• The ability to coach staff and hold people accountable
• Experience working in a busy restaurant kitchen

This is not simply a senior cooking position. We need someone who can lead the kitchen, solve problems and keep the team performing without constant management oversight.
