The story behind a favorite at Quinta del Carmen๐Ÿท

When Cakebread Cellars purchased Dancing Bear Ranch on Howell Mountain in 1998, they soon discovered some unexpected visitors had a taste for the grapes, especially the Merlot. ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‡

To keep the bears away, a motion detector and boombox were set up to play loud music. The plan didnโ€™t quite work, but nighttime footage showed the bears swaying and moving to the music. And just like that, Dancing Bear Ranch was born.

Today, its w**e is one of our favorites at Quinta del Carmen. Rich, expressive, and wonderfully complex, itโ€™s a great story and an even better pour. ๐Ÿทโค๏ธ
