Burundi Coffee is rated one of the best coffees that Africa has to offer. The Fully Washed (Double Fermentation) process is a unique method of exhibiting the inherent qualities in these beans. Typically clean, crisp, bright acidity, floral and prevalent fruits such as berries and lemon. When roasted medium-to-dark, it delivers an excellent taste of chocolate, toffee, caramel and nuts. Equally well enjoyed as a Single Origin or Blend.

In my quest to experience some of the Best coffee this is what I've learned about Burundi and its delicious coffee.

The most common method of producing our African Coffee is a Fully Washed Double Fermentation process. This is a unique method of processing that usually delivers a very clean, crisp, bright, fruity and floral cupping profile.

The most common coffee machines used to prepare and dispense roasted beans are:

Bean to Cup Machine
These automatic coffee machines are multifunction and can dispense any gourmet coffee drink at the push of a button. All that's needed is a portion of roasted beans.

Espresso Machine
These machines produce a thick, concentrated coffee called espresso by forcing pressurized water near boiling point through a "puck" of ground coffee and a filter. The espresso serves as a base drink for most other gourmet coffees.

Filter Coffee Machine
Filter coffee is made by dripping boiling water over ground coffee, the water filters through the coffee and the filter paper (or reusable mesh filter). It slowly drips into the pot when it starts to brew.
