WAS PETE OFF SIDE, OR JUST AHEAD OF THE GAME?

You be the judge. An International Kerfuffle is a wild, funny deep dive into intent, outrage and the terrifying power of one well-timed punchline, straight from the man who lived it.

The Adelaide Advertiser reckons Peter Helliar makes the difficult business of being funny look dead easy, and this show is exactly why.

Friday 23 October, 6pm at The Basement, 61 Church Street. Grab your tickets via https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1616253 🎟️

UNLOCKING THE DOORS 🎸

Some bands you don't just listen to, you feel. Unlocking The Doors capture exactly that, reprising the poetry, the psychedelia and the pure stage presence that made Jim Morrison one of a kind.

Wollongong's own, and widely considered one of the most authentic Doors tributes in the country. Saturday 17 October at The Basement.

Get the date in the calendar, tell your favourite people and make a proper night of it. Dinner and show $74pp, or show only $44pp.

Doors 6pm, dinner 6:30pm, show 8pm. Tickets at https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1516212

HONOURING THOSE WHO BUILT THIS CLUB 🏅

Last week we unveiled a new plaque at the entrance to the club, recognising ten men of the Master Builders Association Illawarra Division whose generosity made the construction of the first stage of our club possible back in 1960.

Jack Cooper
William (Bill) Carr
William (Bill) Longhurst
Tom Eddy
Col Stewart
George Phillips
Bob Law
Jack Sainsbury
Reef Rosten
Jack Palmer

We were joined on the day by club members and directors, representatives of the Master Builders Association, and most specially by the relatives and siblings of the ten men themselves.

Sixty-six years on, everything here still stands on the foundation they helped lay. Next time you walk through the front doors, take a moment to have a look.

Thank you to everyone who came along to mark the occasion with us.
