For Marco, vintage has never been a trend, it’s been a lifelong passion.

As a teenager growing up in Italy, weekends were spent wandering markets, digging through crates of records, uncovering forgotten treasures and collecting pieces with stories to tell. That love of vintage has shaped South West Bottega from the very beginning.

Every corner holds something unique, vintage finds, furniture, records, books, curiosities and one-of-a-kind pieces carefully collected, each with its own story.

With our time in Vasse coming to an end at the end of this month, we’re hoping to find new homes for as many of these treasures as possible.

We’re opening our doors one final time for a garage sale this weekend. Vintage treasures, furniture, records, books and plenty more.

Before our Vasse chapter comes to an end, we’re opening up a limited number of private pasta-making workshops.

Gather your favourite people, learn the art of handmade pasta, share a meal and create some memories around the table.

Perfect for birthdays, team events, family gatherings or anyone looking to do something a little different.

Minimum group size is 8 people and we are offering a group discount which works out to $75pp.

As we prepare to farewell our Vasse home, it felt fitting to spend an afternoon doing what Italians do best, bringing people together through food. 
This weekend, we hosted a pasta making workshop at South West Bottega Vasse, and what a way to celebrate the final weeks of this venue. 
As we enter the final weeks of our Vasse chapter, we’re grateful for moments like these and the people who make them so special.

IT’S OFFICIALLY TRUFFLE SEASON ✨

THE LAST SUPPER 🍕🍷

Over the past week, we’ve spent a lot of time reading your messages, sharing memories and reflecting on everything South West Bottega has become.

The support, photos and kind words you’ve shared have reminded us just how special this community is and we’re incredibly grateful to have been part of it.

Before we say goodbye to our Vasse home, we’d love to celebrate one last weekend together.

We are looking for a new home ❤️

As many of you now know from our recent announcement, our time at 363 Rendezvous Rd in Vasse is coming to an end. While it’s incredibly emotional closing this chapter, we’re not ready to say goodbye to South West Bottega.

We’re now searching for the next space to continue the story.

We’re open to conversations, ideas and opportunities.

The Bottega has always been about more than just a venue. It’s about community, long lunches, good wine, Italian food and creating a place where people feel at home.

If you know of a space, opportunity or someone we should speak to, we’d genuinely love to hear from you.

The suitcase is packed… now we just need somewhere to park the Vespa 🇮🇹✨

There’s no easy way to write this one.

From June 30th, our lease at South West Bottega in Vasse comes to an end. Over the past months, we tried incredibly hard to find a way to renew the space and continue operating from 363 Rendezvous Rd, but unfortunately we weren’t able to come to an agreement.

While this isn’t the end of South West Bottega, it is the end of this chapter. The space that so many of you helped bring to life.

A place where long lunches turned into late afternoons, where birthdays and celebrations were shared around the table. Where strangers became regulars, regulars became friends and where so many conversations, glasses of wine and memories were made.

We’ve hosted Italian classes here, family dinners, live music, first dates, farewell parties and everything in between. This place became more than just a restaurant to us.

Before we close the doors on this chapter, we want to celebrate it properly.

On Sunday 21 June, we’ll be holding one final gathering, our Last Supper Party. More details to come soon.

If you’ve ever learnt Italian with us, celebrated something special or simply shared a meal here, we’d love for you to come and send this place off with us.

And while this chapter is coming to an end, South West Bottega isn’t. We’re actively looking for a new home for the next chapter of the Bottega. If you know of a space, venue or opportunity that could suit us, we’d love to hear from you.

FRESH PASTA WORKSHOP 🇮🇹

Ever wanted to learn how to make fresh pasta from scratch with an Italian? This is the workshop for you.

Across two relaxed hours, guests will learn how to make traditional fresh tagliatelle before cooking the dish together and sitting down to enjoy the meal around the table.

Warm, welcoming and beginner friendly, this class is designed for couples, friends, solo guests, families, kids and adults alike.

Led by Monsef, born and raised in Bologna, Italy, the workshop is inspired by generations of Italian home cooking and hospitality.

As this is our first class, we’re offering an introductory price of $85pp.

Wine and drinks will also be available to purchase during and after the workshop 🍷
