This Sunday we’re celebrating 8 years of Nevedya.

When we first opened our doors, we dreamed of creating more than just a restaurant. We wanted a place where people could gather over nourishing food, music, conversation and community.

To be honest, June has been one of our quietest months in quite some time, so we’d love nothing more than to celebrate our birthday with a bustling restaurant and garden full of familiar faces.

If you’ve been meaning to visit, this Sunday would be the perfect time.

Enjoy nourishing food, mulled wine, chai and amazing music. Be mesmerised by Jenna’s live guitar looping performance at 2pm, then journey into ecstatic dance with Roshin from 4pm.

Masala chai... We often get asked is your chai ‘wet or dry’? Well. The answer is neither! We don’t just buy some pre-mixed wet chai mix, and definitely not a sugary powder! Daniel and Shakti the owners of Nevedya have travelled India extensively and had a serious chai addiction for many years. We have perfected our own spice blend with cardamon, cinnamon, star anise, lots of fresh ginger, and dark Indian black tea which we brew on the stove for around 4 hours. This chai masala is then ready to be heated per serve and mixed with your favourite milk. Yum!!

Be mesmerised by live looping guitar from Jenna at 2pm.

Then join the dance floor for an ecstatic dance set from Roshin at 4pm!

Savour organic delights, cacao elixirs, chai, mulled wine, and, of course, let loose on the dance floor!

Start your day at the Upwey Community Market, then stroll down the hill to Nevedya. With plenty of communal space, there’s no need to book—this is a walk-in event. Just be sure to arrive early, as space is limited!
