I’m always up for a challenge, I love trying new things and I’m excited what is to come with the next phase of Alicia’s. Thank you Hannah for asking me to be a part of Soul and the biggest thank you to Tracey at TB Print for taking on all the jobs I needed help with at the last minute. So lucky.

What a fabulous whirlwind of a few days I’ve had … starting with my gorgeous friends 21st Saturday. Managed to sneak in the cake for that. Sunday to Adelaide to treat myself to a day of me on Sunday night/Monday. LOVED IT!
I was there for a work trip and as always Harcourts provided the goods with a great session Tuesday.
Dinners and drinks with my girls. Super fun accomodation.
Home now after an eventful trip and feeling incredibly lucky.
And we’ve got even more fun to come because Monday will be my first food drop in Soul!
My plan is to start posting on here a little bit like I used to in the cafe days … “on Monday in the fridge you’ll find…” type posts.
It’s all new, it’s all a learning experience and I am so ready to get this started!

It’s been awhile since a Saturday morning, mind wandering, coffee in bed, Pearl jam playing in my ears post.
I imagine you would be exactly the same as me and mind blown we are mid September. Where did this year go?
Then I look back through the mad amount of photos I take and I can absolutely believe it’s the last 1/3 of the year.
What a year and I can’t wait for these next 3 months.
A year so far of choosing me.
Of finally putting myself first.
A year of ticking off goals.
A year of excitement & of more things to come.
I’d be lying if I didn’t say we’ve also had the lowest of lows this year but I choose to look at the fact we can support each other and get through those times.
And that’s life right? Highs & lows. The highs that put a bounce in your step and the lows that teach you how strong you are and what you are capable of for the people you love.
Did you know I’m Mother of the Groom in December? So excited!
And in 2 weeks time you’ll be able to access my food in the most simple and easy way I can even imagine.
I’ve got plans that I’m excited for.
And I think It’s time for me to set some new goals.
And as w***y as it sounds, manifest it. Dream it. Write it out. Plan it. Make an album in your phone of what you want. Only you can achieve it but you can. And I’ll be here silently cheering you on as you kick your goals.
As always remember to be kind. Tell your loved ones you love them. Know that you are loved more than you will ever know.
We get one go at this, let’s do it.

September 5. A Grand Final for some, a special date for another beautiful family but for me, a memory that 11 years ago we lost our dear Mum. Life goes on but it really is never the same again.
It was Mid West Grand Final at Streaky Bay and Tom was playing in Colts.
I left at half time.
I’m not sure what happened, intuition? But I had an overwhelming sense I needed to leave so I did and 20 min down the road I got the phone call she’d gone.
I drove from Streaky to Wudinna grabbed some clothes and down to Lincoln hospital to meet Dad & say my final good bye.
Tom’s team won that day.
Now 11 years on that indescribable ache in my heart has just about gone. I can talk about my mum and not cry anymore. A song can come on and I’ll sing along and smile now. I only remember all the good things about having Jen’s as our Mum. She truly was one of the good ones.
I know she’d be super proud of all of us and our families.
This is my gentle reminder for you to tell someone you love them today.

Not long now until it’s as easy as walking in to Soul on Spencer St Tumby Bay and buying yourself some lunch or snacks … excited is an understatement.
Don’t forget this time round is entirely different version of alicia’s for me and I am open to gentle feedback and reasonable requests - never been a fan of “constructive criticism” to me it’s just criticism … just saying 😉

Right friends let’s chat.
Incase you haven’t quite joined the dots yet, alicia’s will be available with the new group at Soul in Tumby Bay by providing food as a help yourself service.
This time round I have some significant differences in my life.
The most important difference is I now have a full time job, that I LOVE but it’s not alicia’s.
So to make moving forward with alicia’s at Soul successful, I need your input.
What are you hoping to find at Soul?
