Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you very much for supporting small businesses like us, without millions of people like you around the world small businesses would not survive, there is one favour I would like to ask you to help us, is by paying in cash. We really don’t mind you paying by card, as you are still supporting us. I will explain how by paying cash helps us and you in some establishments. Every time you use a card it costs us a minimum of .10 cents and upwards per transaction. This might not seem much to you but it can cost a small business $100’s if not $1000’s a month in bank fees. This is just pushing bank’s profits even higher, while we struggle in these tough economic times. And the banks are closing branches and laying people off.
As I said I will explain to you by paying by cash it will also save you money. Some establishments small or large are charging you for the fees normally a percentage of the transaction. If you buy something for $5.00 it might only cost .20c extra but when you start having transactions in the $100’s and $1000’s then it’s going cost you dollars per transaction.
Pro’s by paying by cash.

• In small communities businesses normally invest in the local community
• Helps creating more jobs
• Less bank branches closures
• I sure you could think of more
Cons by paying by card.
• Bank profits rise
• Bigger bonuses of bankers
• More branch closures
• Longer wait time’s trying to get through to the customer service line (in Australia a minimum of 2 hours waiting on the phone)
