WHAT'S ON IN LATROBE CITY THIS LONG WEEKEND!
Looking for something to do with the kids, catch up with friends or just get out and about?
There's plenty happening right across Latrobe City from Saturday 31 October through to Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday 3 November!
I've put together a list of some of the activities and events happening around our community.
SATURDAY 31 OCTOBER – HALLOWEEN 🎃
- 8am – Parkrun at Churchill, Newborough and Traralgon.
- From 9am – Us and Them Tourers 30th Annual Poker Run, Toners Lane, Morwell. Supporting Noah's Ark.
- 9:30am–11:30am – Art of Conversation, Morwell Library.
- 10am – Gippsland Acoustic Music Club Strum Along, Traralgon.
- 11am–2pm – Gippsland Worship Festival, Kay Street Gardens, Traralgon.
- 12pm–3pm – Willow Grove Chrome Bumpers, Willow on Main General Store.
- Derby Day at Latrobe Valley Racing Club, Glenview Park, Traralgon East. A day of local racing, live entertainment, food trucks and Fashions on the Field! General admission from $20.
- 1pm–5pm – Latrobe Valley Model Railway Association, Moe.
- 5pm–7pm – Haunted House at Grounded Paws Cat Cafe, Traralgon.
- Halloween Last Stop – Yallourn North Hotel! Bring the kids along to collect a lolly bag, enjoy dinner and show off those Halloween costumes! Prizes for the best-dressed adults and children, plus a guess-the-jelly-beans competition. Open till late!
- From 7pm – A Night in Hell-oween at Penny Lane, Moe.
SUNDAY 1 NOVEMBER
- 9am–2pm – ScullyBug Markets, Morwell Hotel.
- 9:30am–12:30pm – Street Creepers 3rd Annual Halloween Ride, starting at Traralgon East McDonald's.
- 10am–12pm – Bricks and Giggles LEGO Building Session, Yallourn Production Centre. $5 per builder.
- 10am–4pm – Brown Coal Mine Museum, Yallourn North.
- 1pm–5pm – Latrobe Valley Model Railway Association, Moe.
- 1pm–5pm – Our Kinda Country Club Open Mic, Morwell.
- Glee Club Singalong: Soundtrack Superstars, Gippsland Performing Arts Centre, Traralgon.
MONDAY 2 NOVEMBER
- 10am–3pm – Brown Coal Mine Museum, Yallourn North.
- 10:30am–12:30pm – Beginner Computers, Churchill Neighbourhood Centre.
- 1pm–3pm – Knitting Club, Traralgon Library.
- From 7:30pm – Hooked On Rock Dance Lessons, VRI Hall, Traralgon.
TUESDAY 3 NOVEMBER – MELBOURNE CUP DAY!
- Melbourne Cup at Yallourn North Hotel! Open 12pm–10pm, with the bistro serving lunch from 12pm–2pm and dinner from 5:30pm–8pm. Watch the race live on the big screen, enter the sweeps ($2, $5 and $10 tickets) and dress to impress for a best-dressed prize! Drink specials available throughout the day.
- 10am–4pm – Pink & Blue Charity Day, Traralgon Bowls Club. Bowls, lunch, raffles, best-dressed prizes and Melbourne Cup celebrations, raising money for breast and prostate cancer charities.
- 10am–3pm – Brown Coal Mine Museum, Yallourn North.
- 1pm–5pm – Latrobe Valley Model Railway Association, Moe.
- 7:30pm–10pm – Timeless Tuesday Trivia Night, Traralgon.

Whether it's visiting a market, enjoying a meal at a local cafe, supporting a community fundraiser or taking the kids out for an adventure, every little bit helps support our local businesses, community groups and volunteers.
We're fortunate to have so many people putting their time and energy into creating things for others to enjoy here in the Latrobe Valley!
