This is such a hard post for us to write. After almost 14 years our lease in our Bakery is ending. We are currently looking for another venue but so far we haven’t found anything. (If you know of anything please message us). We have spend so much of our lives in this shop. Our kids grew up here. We have worked so many hours, missed so many significant events, we have cried, laughed and met so many wonderful customers. It’s been a lot of hard work, more than many people know. To our family and friends that have stuck by us and been so understanding at us missing so many things due to work we are truly blessed and thank you! We have been privileged to not only serve you for our bakery items but made so many cakes over these years that we couldn’t even quantify it. Some weeks getting home at 2am after creating 20 cakes for the week. Quite a few of you, we have been creating cakes for right since the beginning and that in its self we are truly thankful to you for. Winning best cake maker for a few years in a row was sure a highlight. Thank you to every one of you who tagged and recommended us every single day for cakes, we seen it and appreciated it. We started the bakery to be able to spend time together as a family instead of just working for big corporations and being a number. We branched into Gluten Free Dairy free out of necessity as our son is Coeliac and back then it was super hard to find anything. It’s been a pleasure to supply not only our regular customers but our Gluten free people who come in every week and sell us out. Our wholesale customers who have been with us since the beginning, what can we say but Thank you we are so grateful for you. We have watched many other Bakeries and cake makers come and go and without every single customer over these years we wouldn’t have still been able to continue and we are super thankful. Whilst we’re currently not sure what the future holds for Baked by Maree (Mitch and Lisa) it is time for Russell to enjoy retirement (yes it should have happened 10 years ago). The remaining cakes booked in for the year we have reached out to you if you haven’t received a message please let us know. A final thank you from us to you. Our final day trade in the bakery is this Friday so come in support us grab a pie or a sausage roll and sell us out on a high. 🥧
