🌏 Refugee Week | 14–20 June 💛

This Refugee Week, we join the national celebration of A Million Stories, honouring the journeys, resilience and contributions of refugees in our communities.

One of those stories is Thu-Trang, a former refugee from Vietnam, who fled her homeland as a child in search of safety. Today, she is raising her two Australian-born children, Sean and Karina, in Melbourne.

Sean and Karina are incredibly proud of their mum, a reminder of the strength, love and courage that continues through generations. ❤️

At Tony’s Community Kitchen, we recognise and respect the many stories like Thu-Trang’s that shape our diverse community. We believe everyone deserves dignity, belonging, and access to care and support, including a warm meal and a welcoming space. 🍽️

At Tony’s Community Kitchen, we see every day the importance of connection, respect and community. Reconciliation is about all of us, listening, understanding and walking forward together.

This year’s theme, “All in for Reconciliation”, is a reminder that every action matters, and everyone has a role to play.
We are proud to stand with our community in supporting reconciliation, now and into the future.
