✈️ Island Stars just went global at ATE26!

👏🏽 We are incredibly proud to share that Island Stars has officially taken the spirit, stories, and strength of the Torres Strait to the global tourism stage! Our co-founders, Joey Laifoo and Mel Crump, spent an incredible week representing our culture at the 2026 Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE26) at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Delivered by Tourism Australia and supported by funding from Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ), this event brought together international travel buyers, wholesalers, and media from across the globe.

As a small family business from a remote region, having a presence at one of Australia’s largest tourism trade events is a massive win. 🙌🏽
