Shanklish is a traditional Lebanese aged cheese with a crumbly texture and tangy, savoury flavour. At Sahtein, it’s tossed with fresh tomato, onion and extra virgin olive oil to make a beautifully vibrant salad.

It’s simple, full of flavour and made for enjoying alongside the rest of the mezze.

Good food doesn’t always need to be complicated. Reserve your table via link in bio.

Saj bread is baked to order at Sahtein, hand-stretched until thin and cooked over the flame in the dining room.

It arrives soft, hot and served on one board for everyone. Tear off a piece to scoop up
hummus and labneh, or wrap it around something straight from the charcoal grill.

Order saj for the table and pass it around. Reserve your table via link in bio.

At Sahtein, a large dinner does not mean collecting an order from every guest.
Mezze, the small dishes that begin a Lebanese meal, are arranged for everyone to share.

Plates from the charcoal grill follow throughout the evening, and dietary requirements can be
organised with the kitchen before your guests arrive.

Tell us when you’d like to come and how many seats you need. We will take care of the table from there.

Set the date and we’ll set the table. Enquire via link in bio.

Spring in Lebanese cooking means fresh vegetables and herbs become the stars of the menu. And fattouch is the perfect example.

This Lebanese bread salad combines radish, cucumber, cabbage and plenty of mint and parsley. Lemon and sumac, a tart red spice, sharpen the dressing, while pieces of fried flatbread bring the crunch.

Start spring with fattouch. Reserve your table via link in bio.

Sfouf is a Lebanese semolina cake, traditionally golden with turmeric and cut into diamonds.
B debs means “with molasses”, and this version gets its dark colour and deep sweetness from carob.

Carob molasses is made by soaking milled carob pods in water, then reducing the extracted liquid into a thick syrup. At Sahtein, the cake is served with spiced tahini.

Carob molasses and tahini have long been eaten together in Lebanon, mixed into a sweet dip and scooped up with bread. At Sahtein, that familiar pairing closes the meal.

Finish with sfouf b debs. Reserve your table via link in bio.

The latest special on the menu is our new wagyu beef rump cap skewers. There’s a little fire, a little salt, and a lot to savour.

Made with Westholme MBS 8–9 wagyu, the skewers are lightly seasoned with salt and pepper and cooked to let the marbled meat speak for itself.

Now available at Sahtein. Reserve your table via link in bio.

Kibbeh nayyeh harra is a Lebanese dish of raw lamb pounded with fine bulgur, onion and warm spices until smooth, then dressed with mint, olive oil and lemon.

It is scooped onto flatbread and eaten with raw onion and radish. Traditionally, it is
accompanied by arak: a grape spirit distilled with anise, then diluted with water until it turns cloudy and served over ice. Its clean, herbal flavour cuts through the richness of the lamb between mouthfuls.

Make kibbeh nayyeh harra one of the first dishes on the table and pour the arak with it.

At a Lebanese table, cold mezze arrives first, filling the space between everyone with plates made to pass around.

From Sahtein’s cold mezze station:
Hommos — smooth, whipped chickpeas finished with olive oil.
Labneh — rich strained yoghurt with cucumber, olive & orange.
Tabbouleh — chopped parsley with bulgur wheat.
Kibbeh nayeh harra — finely pounded raw mince folded with traditional spices.

House-made flatbread arrives alongside it, baked to order and ready for scooping, tearing and sharing.

Gather your table and begin with the cold mezze. Reserve via link in bio.
