Neko Neko’s Last Chapter.

After five and a half wonderful years, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Neko Neko Newtown on Saturday, November 29th.

Looking back, our journey has been quite something. We opened our doors in late March 2020 on the very first day of Sydney’s first Covid lockdown. For nearly two years, we couldn’t even properly welcome guests into our little restaurant.

When things finally reopened, we were so grateful to see our place bustling again, filled with laughter and familiar faces. But despite our best efforts, it was hard to fully recover from the impact of those early years.

We truly love Newtown the people, the energy, the community so it breaks our hearts to say goodbye. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who’s supported us over these 5 and a half years. Your kindness and encouragement have meant the world to us.

And most importantly, endless thanks and respect to our amazing team who made Neko Neko what it is. We were so lucky to have such passionate, talented, and kind people by our side. Because of them, Neko Neko was always filled with good vibes.

Until we meet again 🥰☺️✨
