The Swan Hill Food Hub Anti-Poverty Week Food Drive will be held between the 11th-17th October 2026. All donations will be go directly to support our local community.

Our Bush Tucker Garden is growing, and we’d love to have community join us in caring for it!
Come along for a morning of gardening, planting, maintaining our native plants, sharing knowledge and having a yarn.
We will also be doing some painting of wooden animals to place up in the garden.
Whether you have a green thumb or just want to lend a hand, everyone is welcome!

In October the Fresh Food Swap is celebrating 1 year of the Fresh Food Swap.

𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Swan Hill Regional Library

Come along to a very special Fresh Food Swap where you can bring and/or take fresh produce, eggs and preserves, stay for a cuppa, biscuit and even to take a seedling or two home to plant into your garden.

In the lead up to the October Fresh Food Swap we will be posting achievements and outcomes of the first 12 months of the initiative in Swan Hill.

𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐯 𝐠𝐨 𝐟𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 🍝
Spaghetti Bolognese is always a winner. Bulking this meal out with ingredients such as grated carrot, zucchini and adding a tin of lentils could stretch the meal out to have left overs the next day or extra sauce to freeze for another day 🥕🥒🥫. The use of a wholegrain pasta can also create a more filling meal.

The Fresh Food Swap is on this Saturday the 19th of September 🫛🥦🍊🍋🍓 at 10am to 12pm at the Swan Hill Regional Library. Come along to the Fresh Food Swap to connect with fellow growers, and add some home grown produce to your meals for the week.
