Today at the club we have some electrical upgrades happening 🤩 we were able to use some of the grant money that we were awarded recently.

A huge thank you to Carrison Electrical for fitting us into your busy schedule!
Curtis has been fantastic at communicating with us to ensure we could have the upgrades we needed done, but still remain within our small budget.

We can’t wait to show off our new exterior lighting for our events thanks to Swan Hill Rural City Council and the Community Support Grant 2026 for allowing this to happen💡

Today we held our monthly committee meeting at the Italian Social Club, with plenty of exciting discussions about the future of our club and the events we have planned for our community 🇮🇹✨

We spent time discussing our upcoming Joe Avati event (ONLY 80 TICKETS REMAINING 😍😍😍), which is shaping up to be a fantastic night, as well as the new grant that our club has recently been successful in obtaining. This support will help us continue improving our facilities and creating more opportunities for the community to come together.

A major focus of the meeting was our new kitchen project, with hopes to begin works with Halligan Construction in the coming weeks. This is a significant step forward for the club and an exciting investment in our future functions, events and catering capabilities.

We also welcomed Amy from Swan Hill Guardian, who took photos of our hall and the new acoustic paneling installed last week. The paneling has already made such a noticeable difference by reducing the echo in the hall and creating a much more comfortable atmosphere for our events and gatherings.

Finally, we had some great discussions around major events for 2027, with several exciting ideas being explored for next year’s calendar. We’re looking forward to bringing even more entertainment, social events and community celebrations to the Italian Social Club.

As a committee, we would also like to put a call out to our community and local businesses for donations and sponsorship to assist with our upcoming events and future projects. While the grant is an incredible boost, it is allocated specifically toward the kitchen building works, which remain a significant undertaking within an already stretched budget.

Every contribution — whether through sponsorship, donations, or in-kind support — helps us continue improving the club and creating events that bring our community together.
